The Canvas Floating Frame is the perfect finishing touch to a canvas art piece. Ideally, the canvas will fit down into the frame with an 3/16" space between all four sides of the canvas and the frame. This spacing helps to create the illusion that the canvas is 'floating'. The material consists of new, solid wood (rustic wood). This L-shaped moulding measures 1.38" x 3/4" (H x W)(3/4" or 1" Canvases). At checkout, please leave in special instructions if you need a different depth cut for your canvas (example: 1/2", 7/8", etc). All floating frame orders for this listing will be assembled and shipped for a 1” canvas unless otherwise indicated in the special instructions. Hanging and mounting hardware will be included with each frame purchased.
The Reclaimed Wood Floating Frames are available in our thin border, thick border, channel thick border, and pinstripe thick border designs. Since the wood used to build the frames is reclaimed, it is possible nail holes, divots, dings, gouges, etc. will be present in the finished product. The reclaimed wood is 'rustic', rough cut, and minimally processed with no finish or stain applied. The natural aging of the wood will provide the frame with its color. Depending on our current reclaimed wood availability, wood color and aging may vary for each frame. Possible woodgrain colors could range from a natural white, yellow, brown or gray.
