This frame features two tone wood design and a gloss clear, water-based sealant. The frame sides were built oversized at 1.5" wide. The wood is scrap wood from other frame projects, so some characteristics like nail holes, divots, and uneven surfaces have been kept in order to preserve its original form. Shell casings have been built into the cedar and fir frame base. The frame can be mounted on the wall in either a landscape or portrait position. One 8 x 8 canvas (up to 3/4" thick) can be easily inserted from the front of the frame and secured with the included hardware. Rabbet Depth: 3/4".
